Maine Schooner Cruise
A Maine schooner cruise is a life-enriching experience. As you enjoy a cruise aboard our Maine schooner, the J&E Riggin
You'll notice our schooner is a spacious-decked tall ship ...
-- with plenty of room to move about
-- broad cabin tops on which to stretch while you read your book,
-- watch the scenery, or just relax.
You might want to spend some time:
-- back by the helm chatting with the captains and crew
-- taking a turn at the wheel yourself
-- checking our position and the names of the islands on the chart.
Or you might just want to spend a moment alone at the bow listening to the ocean rush past.
Accommodations consist of nine double and two triple cabins. Each cabin has a sink with cold running water, a reading light over each berth,
and is completely fitted with fresh sheets, warm blankets, pillows, and towels.
You will also be happy to know we have a hot freshwater shower on board for those not wanting to rough it too much.
The meals are the domain of Captain Anne Mahle. She is a cookbook author, recently seen cooking on the Today Show, and also has a weekly cooking column in Maine's largest daily newspaper.
Each charter sails between Boothbay and Bar Harbor stopping every night to set anchor in what could be an island fishing village such as Isle au Haut or Burnt Coat Harbor or a quaint town like Stonington or Camden where you can enjoy a little shopping.
Sometimes we drop anchor in a quiet cove where only the flicker of a cottage light hints at civilization.
Come enjoy the magic of the sea with us.
